Terror Infected To Be Held.

With the rising tide of terrifying infectious fanatics in Britain's street Home Secretary, John Reid, has suggested drastic action in an attempt to curtail them.

'Astonishing revelation'

In a political move regarded by some as 'an utter waste of time and effort' John Reid declared that 28 days wasn't enough time to question the infected. Especially as they spent most of that time snarling and clawing rather than behaving like model citizens.

When he revealed that currently no tracking, DNA samples, fingerprints or proper monitoring of suspected infected actually occurred at all people largely reacted with surprise. Or indifference. Or complete ignorance. In fact the process of tracking the infected largely consisted of turning up at their houses and knocking on the door to see if they were in - you know - once in a while.

Criticism

John Reid has come in for a lot of criticism for his often apparently draconian suggestions on the detainment of suspect infected - his proposals included long stays in heavily crowded prisons - whereby you really find out if they are a danger - and shipping them to countries that will shoot them as so as they step off the plane.

In his defence Reid exclaimed the infected had a

"unconstrained intent... to murder people in their thousands, or potentially, millions". ..."One way might be to legislate now to extend the current limit but to make it clear that there would be extra further judicial and Parliamentary oversight if such measures were ever implemented."

Still ill

John Reid has cleverly identified a solution to the infected in the form of detention. That will stop them doing anything naughty if we tell them to stay home. He is sure they will do as they are told if confined to their homes. If the outbreak has told us anything readers it's this:

We need more ill conceived legislation.
